Since releasing their second single in 2007, Battle has undergone a major reconstruction in their music, style, and member constituency. The group marches back to the battlefield armed with new arsenal for Step By Step, their third single release. After the departure of member Shin Ki Hyun who opted to pursue his acting career, Battle now stands as a five-member band comprised of Chris, Leo, Ryu, Whee Chan, and Jin Tae Hwa. Their latest album bears the creative workings of popular producer Brave Brother, in high demand due to the string of hits he produced earlier for stars like Big Bang and SE7EN. Step By Step opens with the powerful hip-hop jam of Big Change (Track 1), followed by the album’s titular track which features a delightful concoction of retro disco rhythm and electronica beats. Last but not least, Battle shows off their electronica flair in Luv U (Track 3), which showcases the group’s ice-melting harmony as well as their powerful rap. Battle, who model themselves after America’s New Kids On The Block, also plans on showcasing their new dance choreography labeled the “shuttle dance”.

I like their album so far. Their title song Step By Step makes me wonder of their combination because it sounds like Last Farewell - Big Bang at some points. However, it’s good to try. I haven’t be their fan yet, but i know that their previous album is good; my friend told me so….. ha ha
